Gianluca Giannini, born in Naples on 05/04/1973 is Full Professor (s.s.d. M./FIL. 03 - Moral Philosophy) at the Department of Humanistic Studies (Sec. of Philosophy), University of Naples Federico II. Since May 2022, he has been Scientific Coordinator of the University Task Force 'Human&Future', University of Naples Federico II. He is a Member of the Teachers' Board of the Doctoral Program in Philosophical Sciences, University of Naples Federico II. He has been a Member of the Interateneo Center for Teacher Education and Director of the training pathway for the Class 'Philosophy and History' since 2023. From March 2021 to February 2024, he was Coordinator of the Three-Year Course of Study in Philosophy at the Department of Humanities, University of Naples Federico II. He was a Member of the Council of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II from May 2021 to March 2024. The lines of research over these years developed are mainly four: 1) examination and investigation of some among the paths of contemporary philosophy that open to the possibility of a foundation of ethics; 2) examination and critique of some among the paths of contemporary philosophy that land on the primacy of ontology; 3) examination and critique of some among the paths of contemporary philosophy that land on the primacy of the political; 4) theoretical issues related to the field of bioethics and new technologies, especially those related to the field of digital.
