Brief info
Francesco Striano is a research fellow in Moral Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy and Education Sciences, University of Turin - where he is a member of EraTO (Ethical Research Center on Anthropology and Technology) and ISMI (Intersectional Studies on Multiple Inequalities). His main areas of research range from the philosophy and ethics of technology (with particular reference to the issue of digital sexual violence and the role of digital technologies in crises of trust and expertise) to aesthetics and media theory, and include an interest in Disability Studies. He has been an adjunct lecturer at UniTO and at the UNIDEE Academy in Biella. His latest publications include "Violenza virtuale. Vita digitale e dolore reale" (Il Saggiatore, 2024) and “Through the Screen: Towards a General Philosophy of Mediality” (De Gruyter, forthcoming 2025).
