Alessandro De Cesaris

Alessandro De Cesaris is a postdoctoral research assistant to the Chair of Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art at the University of Freiburg (Switzerland). He is also a research associate at the Department for Digital Humanism of the Collège des Bernardins in Paris. His research interests focus on classical German philosophy (particularly Hegel), media theory and anthropology of technology. On these topics he has published articles in Italian, English, French and German. His first monograph is Ai limiti del concetto. Genesi e forma della singolarità nella logica di Hegel (Naples 2024). He is currently working on a book on the theme of play, and on his habilitation thesis, which is devoted to the relationship between philosophy of technology and philosophy of media.
