Brief info
Marco Pavanini received his PhD from the Centre for Culture and Ecology at the University of Durham, UK, with the dissertation Human Constitutive Technicity: The Evolutionary Turn in the Philosophy of Technology. His research concerns the relationship between technology and human existence, with a focus on the role played by technologies in human evolution, the production of scientific knowledge, and the structuring of philosophical praxis. Inspired by contemporary philosophers such as Bernard Stiegler and Peter Sloterdijk, his research takes as its starting point the idea that our conception of technology must be revised if we are to cope with the ongoing climatic, social and political crises. He is currently working as a Research Fellow in the context of the projects New Habits in Mind: In Search of a Graphic Philosophy (GraPhil) and PhiloGraphics: How to Do Concepts with Images, directed by Giacomo Pezzano and funded by the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR) - Seal of Excellence and the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation.
